Bidar’s performance boosts teachers’ morale

The performance of some district government schools in the SSLC examinations has come as a boost to teachers and Education Department officials who have been accused of being responsible for Bidar being the worst performing district. This year, Bidar jumped to the 28th position among 34 educational districts.

Of the five Morarji Desai Residential Schools in the district, four have achieved 100 per cent results.

Premkumar Pandit, a student of MDRS Bagadal, has scored 94.56 per cent, Raghavendra Ganapati of MDRS Aurad has got 94.08 per cent marks.

Other students like Prakash Nathuram, Rashmi, Saleem Sailani and others have scored above 90 per cent.

The first batch of SSLC students in Adarsha Vidyalaya, the government English medium school in Bidar, have doen well. Of the 55 who wrote the examination, 54 passed with 98 per cent. Of them, 24 have passed with distinction and 26 in first class. Veerabhadrappa Basavarajappa got 95.68 per cent, Srikanth K. got 95.2 per cent and Sachin Bakkareddy got 94.88 per cent marks.
