Bidar in 30th place with 54.40% pass percentage

After SSLC, students from Bidar have secured good results in II PU examinations as well.

Bidar is saved from slipping to the last slot among districts ranked according to pass performance in II PUC results this year. It stands 30th in the list of 31 districts, with a pass percentage of 54.40 per cent. Last year, its position was 31st, with only 44.95 per cent students passing out.

The marginal improvement is due to steps like remedial coaching, teachers training and regular examination practice, S.D. Kamble, Deputy Director of Pre-University Education said.

The Morarji Desai Residential Pre-University College in Bidar, the only government-run Residential College, achieved 96.87 per cent results. Of the 32 students who appeared, 21 passed in first class and four in second class.

Some private colleges like Gyana Sudha PU College for Science, Bidar also performed well. It achieved 99 per cent results with eight distinctions and 46 first classes. Sudhakar Reddy and Sudha Mani scored 100 out of 100 in Mathematics and Asha Baburao scored 100 out of 100 in Kannada.

Sri Channabasaveshwar Gurukul of Kardyal has achieved 93.73 per cent results.

Out of 559 students, 84 students have got distinctions and 400 passed with first class. Nagraj Dattatry Manthale topped with 559 marks (93.17%). Sharanabasava V. Patil got 100 marks in Mathematics and Annarao Vishwanath got 96.75% in PCMB subjects.

Adinath Suryakanth, Sharanabasav Veershetty, Adarsh Reddy, Bheemanna Shanthkumar, Giriraj Patil, Priyanka Vishwanath K., Shrija Laxmikanth, Machendra Gurunath, Niranjani Rajkumar, Narsingh Beerappa, Tippanna Jagannath, Vijayalaxmi Kashinath, Pramod Prabhu, Priyanaka Mulge, Kavya Yashwanth, Ashwini Shivraj, Prashant Mahadev, Nisha Ashok, Revanasiddappa Naganna, Vithhal Reddy, Prabhu Shrinivas and Prateek Prakash have got above 90 per cent marks.

Sri Siddhi Vinayak PU College students have done well in PUC examinations with 93 per cent of them passing out. As many as 14 got distinctions, 140 passed in first class and 36 in second class, said a release.

Saraswati PU College got 90 per cent results with two distinctions and 18 first classes.

Wisdom PU College achieved 83.37 per cent results with five distinctions and 43 first classes. Mohammad Shabaz, Sumayya Anjum, Joha Mariyam, and Haroon Sabi A.K. got marks above 90 per cent.

Karnataka PU College has got 70 per cent results. Nine students got distinctions and 86 passed in first class.

In commerce department, Shashikumar Biradar and Shwetha B. secured above 90 per cent marks. Sudharani Chandrakanth scored 100 in Accounting and Sapna Halbarge scored 100 in Management Studies.

Guru Nanak Dev Pre University College has also achieved good results. As many as 19 students passed with distinctions and 160 got first classes.

Divya Reddy, Simran Kaur, Shivani, Sharolin, Lava Rathod, Sharan Krupa, and Sushma Reddy got above 90 per cent marks.
