Anjuman-E-Islam polls on May 10

Having already elected some office-bearers unopposed, the Dharwad Anjuman-E-Islam Society is all set for polls to choose its president, vice-president and the remaining office-bearers.

Addressing presspersons here on Monday, president of Anjuman-E-Islam, Dharwad, Ismail Tamatgar said four candidates from the donors’ quota, three from the trustees’ quota and five from the general quota had been elected unopposed. In the polls to be held on May 10, the president, the vice-president, the secretary, the joint secretary and the members to the 124-member executive committee would be elected, he said.

Anjuman-E-Islam has as many as 5,000 members, who can vote.
