The district unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has urged S. Jayanna, Vice-Chancellor (in-charge) of Vijayanagar Sri Krishnadevaraya University, to start post-graduate courses in zoology and botany from the current academic year itself.
The activists pointed out in a memorandum that a large number of students from Ballari and Koppal districts have been studying science with biology as the major subject in undergraduate courses. But in the absence of PG courses, they were deprived of continuing their higher studies.
