Puttaswamy on IT raids, and State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa's allegation that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah took massive kickbacks in projects and routed it to the High Command. A mention regarding this in MLC Govindarajus diary was also raised in the submission for adjournment, which was allowed despite strong opposition to by ruling party members. Opposition party members walked out when the chairman rejected the issue.

When the chairman did not allow for a point of order by Law Minister T.B. Jayachandra, a few Congress members including Boseraju and Ivan D'souza came to the well to protest the motion. Chaos followed as both sides indulged in a heated argument and the chairman adjourned the house for sometime.

Opposition leader K.S. Eshwarappa demanded an apology from the government and said the BJP would stage a counter protest in support of the chair. Deputy chairman Marithibbe Gowda was officiating.

After a heated discussion on why the motion should or should not be allowed, the chairman rejected the issue. Opposition members walked out in protest, and the JD(S) staged a protest in the well of the House demanding a probe into the CD, ED (Enforcement directorate) and diary.

Congress members had earlier released a CD which they claimed proved it was a conspiracy against the Chief Minister.
