The body of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son Rakesh, who died due to multi-organ failure at Antwerp University Hospital in Belgium on Saturday, will be kept for public viewing at the Karnataka Exhibition Authority (KEA) Grounds in Mysuru from 11 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Monday.
The body, which is scheduled to arrive at Kempe Gowda International Airport in Bengaluru at 9 a.m. on Monday by an Emirates Airlines flight, will be flown to Mysuru by a special aircraft.
Mr. Siddaramaiah, his wife, daughter-in-law, younger son and other members of the family, who are accompanying the body of Rakesh from Brussels to Bengaluru, will board the special flight to Mysuru after completing certain formalities at the airport in Bengaluru.
Minister for Public Works H.C. Mahadevappa, who is also the Minister in charge of Mysuru district, inspected the arrangements made for public viewing at KEA grounds opposite the Mysuru Palace on Sunday.
Last rites at farm houseThe last rites will be performed at Mr. Siddaramaiah’s farm house at T. Katur on the outskirts of Mysuru between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. in the presence of the family members, relatives and friends.
