A local court today issued summons to former Karnataka Minister H Halappa for his appearance on May 5 in connection with a charge sheet filed against him in a rape case.
CID police had recently submitted the charge sheet before the third Judicial Magistrate First Class court.
Ms. Chandrawathi, wife of Mr. Halappa’s friend, had charged that she was raped by Mr. Halappa in her house at Shimoga on November 26 in 2009.
