Around 2 lakh people from all age groups from Goa, Karnataka and Maharashtra have been visiting these events every year, said Mr. Patil.

Mr. Patil said international kite flyers from 17 countries viz. Canada, United Kingdom, Estonia, Germany, Malaysia, Argentina, Russia, Brazil, Australia, France, Italy, Netherlands, South Africa, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Belgium; and 22 national level flyers from Karnataka, Maharashtra, Kerala and Gujarat will be participating in the fest. Stunt and miniature kites will be two new attractions this year, and there may even be “foam kites”. Both days, illuminated kites will be flown at night.
