The 82nd Akhil Bharat Kannada Sahitya Sammelan will be held between October 9 and 11 on the campus of University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur.
The reception committee for organising the sammelan, headed by Minister of State for Medical Education and Raichur in-charge Sharanprakash R. Patil met at the Kannada Bhavan here on Monday evening and decided the dates and the venue for the literary festival.
It was decided to form various subcommittees for the sammelan. Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Mahantesh Maski proposed to reduce their number to 32 from 52 formed during the 78th sammelan .

Also, this sammelan is likely to see only one single main stage
Financial assistance may be sought from Koppal district
A sum of Rs. 5 crore is required for the sammelan
Of that amount, Rs. 2 crore will come from the State government
