18-yr.-old girl electrocuted in a bid to rescue sheep

A 18-year-old girl died after she tried to rescue her sheep which came in contact with a live electricity cable that had fallen in an agricultural field on the outskirts of Singanalli village in Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district on Tuesday.

The victim was identified as Shilpa of Singanalli village. According to sources, the girl saw her sheep came in contact with the live power cable and made an attempt to rescue it. But, her effort turned into a tragedy, as she died along with the sheep.

A case was registered in the Gogi police station.
