‘Give equal opportunities to girls’

Sadanand N.Nayak, District and Sessions Judge, has said that the country will see overall development if girls are given equal opportunities and facilities like boys. He was addressing a legal awareness programme here on Thursday.

The programme was organised by the District Legal Services Authorities, District Bar Association and the office of the Child Development Planning Officer at Bandalli village.

The judge underlined the importance of education for girls to bring changes in society and urged the people to protect their rights.

Mr. Nayak asked officials to ensure that specific programmes were conducted to create awareness among illiterates, who were still not aware about the need to educate girls.
