Justice R. Banumathi, on Tuesday, recused herself from hearing the jallikattu case in the Supreme Court.
Petitions seeking stay/quashing of batch of petitions have been shifted for hearing to a Bench led by Justice Dipak Misra.
Justice R. Banumathi had first banned jallikattu during her tenure as Judge of the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court.
