Coast Guard DIG shifted out

February 25, 2015 01:07 am | Updated November 16, 2021 05:16 pm IST - AHMEDABAD:

Coast Guard DIG B.K. Loshali, who contradicted the government’s version of the explosion on board a Pakistani vessel, has been removed as Chief of Staff in the Northwest region and attached to the zonal headquarters.

This has been done as a Board of Inquiry is on against him to establish the facts.

“This is a routine procedure. Since a BoI is on, he has been attached to the zonal headquarters in Gandhinagar as per the standard operating procedure,” sources in the Coast Guard said.

The Coast Guard ordered the BoI after it found that his reply to a show-cause notice on his remarks — that he had ordered the blowing up of the boat — was “unsatisfactory.” — PTI
