Jindal, Madhu Koda, others get bail in coal block allocation case

Former Union Minister Dasari Narayan Rao and former Coal Secretary H.C. Gupta too get bail; accused cannot leave India without court's permission.

A court in New Delhi on Friday granted bail to Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda and eight others in a coal block allocation case.

Mr. Jindal from bail from the special court in Jharkhand’s Amarkonda Murgadangal coal block allocation case.

The court also granted bail to former Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao, former Coal Secretary H.C. Gupta and six others in the case, while fixing June 1, 2015 for further hearing in the case.

The court said accused cannot leave India without getting its permission.
