Ayodhya row: Raman Singh calls for patience

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh has counselled patience over the Ram temple issue, stating that, in his view, the Supreme Court’s verdict should be awaited.

Speaking to The Hindu in Raipur, he conceded that the case had been dragging on for several years but added, “I feel that since we have left it to the courts, we must wait.”

Asked about the demands of the RSS and the VHP, he said: “Everyone feels this way on the matter. Mandir se sab jude hain [everyone is attached to the cause of the temple]. Both the Congress and the BJP, everyone feels a decision should come. Let us wait for the court’s decision...
