Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani on Saturday propagated the message of ‘Swachh Bharat’ from the Himalayan shrines of Kedarnath and Badrinath, where he carried out cleaning exercises under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’.

The exercises at the two shrines were continuation of the campaign that Mr. Ambani had taken up in Mumbai.

Mr. Ambani, who was accompanied by his wife Tina Ambani, visited Kedarnath on Saturday morning and got engaged in clean up activities inside and outside the shrine. By the afternoon, the couple reached Badrinath and repeated the exercise with around 50 people joining them in it.

Speaking to the media at Badrinath, Mr. Ambani said he visited the shrines to spread the message of “cleanliness at religious places across the nation.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had named Mr. Ambani among nine people who, according to him, must spearhead the campaign so that people across the nation could draw inspiration and follow them.
