Infuriated YSR Congress cadres took to streets across the State on Saturday protesting the remarks made by Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy against Jaganmohan Reddy.
Across the State, YSR Congress workers burnt effigies of the Finance Minister and staged rasta roko demanding unconditional apology from him for insulting the family of former Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy.
Protests were organised by the YSR Congress activists in Guntur, Nellore, Prakasam, Medak, Nalgonda, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari.
YSR Congress leaders reacted sharply to the criticism with party spokesperson Gattu Ramachandra Rao demanding removal of the Finance Minister from the Cabinet as he was trying to influence the six ministers named in the controversial 26 GOs. When the GOs case has come to a crucial juncture, the Finance Minister comes out with a statement that the Ministers were influenced by YSR. He pointed out that the Ministers had told the Supreme Court that the GOs were in order and the Government did not deviate from any of the set guidelines or the policy while issuing them.
