Finance Minister and TDP Politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Wednesday turned his ire on the YSR Congress Party (YSRC) over the later’s allegations that the Telugu Desam was copying the ‘Nava Ratnalu’ announced by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

“None can copy the corrupt practices of the YSRC president. From the Emmar Properties to Titanium, every scam that took place during the Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure are gems. Volkswagen, Bauxite, iron ore, Vanpic, Lepakshi and Jalayagnam are the nine gems (nava ratnalu) of Mr. Jagan,” the Finance Minmister said. Except for 13 chargesheets and 16 months imprisonment, what did he achieve?, he asked.

Social welfare pensions

The TDP was boosting the morale and self-respect of the people by doubling the social welfare pensions. “Life tax on autorickshaws and tractors has been abolished to support farmers and the self-employed. Instead of appreciating the initiative, the Opposition is making unnecessary noise,” he added.
