Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday asserted that he would streamline the functioning of power utilities to improve efficiency in generation and distribution, paving the way for cheap and quality power to all.

Addressing the Janmabhoomi Maa Vooru programme here, he said, “With the assistance of the Centre, I ensured uninterrupted power supply in just about 100 days. I will now concentrate on improving availability of power and also bring down the power tariff in future.”

Describing the present difficulties in the wake of the State’s bifurcation by the Congress for political gains as a ‘temporary problem’, he said with the vast human and natural resources available, Andhra Pradesh would become the top State in future.

Stressing on ‘smart work’, he said: I am doing a fine balancing act by taking steps to reduce the revenue deficit on the one hand, implement welfare schemes as never before on the other hand even while putting the State on the path of development with the seven missions, five grids and four campaigns.
