The district stood first in resolving the grievances received during the ‘Spandana’ programme, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said during a videoconference with the Collectors here on Tuesday, and congratulated Visakhapatnam Collector V. Vinay Chand on the achievement.
Directive to Collectors
“The only reason why Spandana is being well-received by the people is that the grievances are sorted out at the earliest,” Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, and instructed the district Collectors to be more responsible in tackling the grievances.
He further asked the Collectors to inspect the mid-day meal served in schools regularly and also focus on quality of eggs being supplied to the students.
Mid-day meal bills
He also said efforts were being made to clear pending bills of mid-day meal in the Agency areas.
The Chief Minister also said that the government was planning to distribute 25 lakh house site pattas to the beneficiaries by Ugadi, and asked the Collectors to identify land for the purpose.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the status of grama volunteers and a few other programmes during his address.
