Its raining scholarships for meritorious students in the State. The AP campus of the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has announced 100 % fee concession for a boy and a girl student who are district toppers from a government college. Thirteen boys and 13 girls from each district will be entitled for this scholarship.
In a statement, VIT-AP vice-president Sekar Viswanathan said students selected for this scholarship would be exempted from admission fee, tuition fee, hostel and mess fee. Books would be given to them from the book bank. Besides, students who secure 1 to 50 ranks in the VITEEE would get 75 % concession, from 51-100 ranks will get 50 % concession and those in the 101-1,000 ranks’ category would be given 25 % concession.
Vice-Chancellor of the AP campus D. Subhakar said the institute offered B.Tech courses in Computer Science and Engineering (Specialisation in Networking and Security), Computer Science and Engineering (Specialisation in Data Analytics), Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering (Specialisation in VLSI), Electronics and Communication (Specialisation in Embedded Systems) and Mechanical Engineering.
The institute also offers BBA course with many choices.
