To encourage applied research and make the results available to the common man, the TTD-run Sri Venkateswara Vedic University has offered to enter into Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with organisations intending to conduct practical research on Vedic subjects. A special scheme will be launched under ‘Centre for Vedic Research’.
Scientific facts
At a media conference on Wednesday , Vice-Chancellor S. Sudarsana Sharma announced that SVVU was all set to enter the arena of ‘applied research’. “To bring out the scientific facts behind Vedic rituals, courses on Vedic science will be introduced,” said Dr. Sharma, who has recently taken over the reins of the varsity for the second term.
The varsity was also keen on bringing out a series of publications in Sanskrit, Telugu, Hindi and English, while digitisation of manuscripts was in progress. Expanding its horizon, SVVU would bring more ‘Veda Gurukulas’ under its ambit and take up off-campus activities
