TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal on Thursday took stock of the arrangements being made for the conduct of the ‘Astabandhana Maha Samprokshanam’ from Friday and the annual Brahmotsvams of Lord Venkateswara scheduled from September 13.
isited the Common Control Centre, where a giant video wall had been set up at a cost of ₹1.60 crore. All the CCTV cameras set up at pivotal points, including the inner precincts of the temple, are linked to the video wall that is equipped with 32 display screens. The officials explained Mr. Singhal the functioning of the wall, which, they said, further heightened the surveillance atop the temple town. He also inspected the highly sophisticated security scanning system being set up at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex. During his interaction with the devotees in the queue lines, he enquired about the facilities being extended by the management.
Later, accompanied by chief priest Venugopala Dikshitulu and heads of various departments, Mr. Singhal inspected the arrangements made for the ‘Maha Samprokshanam’ scheduled to take off with ‘ankurarpanam’ on Friday.
Meanwhile, about 45 Sri Vaishnavite scholars from various parts of the country, who have great command over the religious formalities to be observed during ‘Maha Samprokshanam’, reached the town. Apart from them, 150 scholars had also been drafted for ‘Veda Parayanam’ to be rendered during the six-day festival.
TTD agama advisor Sundaravadana Bhattacharyulu also made it clear that there shall be no recordings of any kind at the yagasala inside the temple.
