Two cows die after suspected food poisoning

Two cows had died after consuming some poisonous food at Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple, Mattapally in Nalgonda district on Wednesday morning.

According to temple authorities, an herd of cows were taken to fields in the morning when some of them fell sick. They said as many as 25 out of 62 in the Goshala took ill.

The herdsmen brought all the animals back to the Goshala and informed the priests.

The veterinary doctors have conducted an autopsy on the deceased animals, will announce the reason behind the death on Thursday. The condition of the some of sick animals is also said to be serious.
