Stressing the need for skill development among the Andhra Pradesh Special Police (APSP) personnel, DGP J.V. Ramudu on Friday said special training modules had been designed for police personnel, and that experts would conduct training programmes soon.

“To reduce stress among APSP personnel, the three-day holiday system has been introduced. As the results are good, we are going ahead with it,” he said after inaugurating the APSP administrative building, which was built at a cost of Rs. 60 lakh. He also opened additional classrooms in the English medium school and a community hall built at a cost of Rs. 45 lakh. Observing that the staff quarters needed immediate repair, Mr. Ramudu said efforts were on to allocate Rs. 50 lakh for developing infrastructure.

Additional DGP (Battalion) D. Gowtham Sawang, District Collector H. Arun Kumar, APSP Commandant Koteswara Rao and Superintendent of Police M. Ravi Prakash were present.
