Four Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs from Telananga region of Andhra Pradesh on Friday staged a dharna blocking the main portico of the Parliament seeking immediate tabling of the Bill for the formation of Telangana.

Carrying placards in hands, the MPs – Nama Nageswara Rao, Ramesh Rathod (both Lok Sabha), Gundu Sudha Rani and T. Devender Goud (both Rajya Sabha) – shouted slogans in support of Telangana and the protest went on for about 30 minutes. They raised the issue in Lok Sabha too later.

On Thursday, the eight suspended Congress MPs from Telangana had staged a similar protest in the parliament portico.

The blocking of the portico by the MPs - Ponnam Prabhakar, Madhu Yaskhi Goud, M. Jagannath, K.R.G. Reddy, G. Viveknand, Balram Naik, G. Sukender Reddy and S. Rajaiah - forced Ministers, MPs and officials to use other gates to enter the Parliament building.
