SSC exams begin today

All arrangements are in place for the conduct of the SSC Examinations at 212 examination centres across the district from Thursday. The exam will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12 p.m.. A total of 40,630 students are expected to appear for exams this year, District Educational Officer K. Srinivasachary said.

To prevent malpractice and irregularities in the exams, as many as 11 flying squads and an equal number of special squads had been appointed. They would go around the centres, monitoring the conduct of exams. Students have been advised to reach their centres one hour before the beginning of each exam.

All photocopy centres in the vicinity of the exam centres would remain closed from till afternoon.
