Deputy Speaker M. Buddha Prasad on Sunday inaugurated solar street light system in the Parrachivara panchat of Nagayalanka mandal in Krishna district.

Hyderabad-based Bondada Engineering Private Limited (BEPL) provided the solar light system including poles which were installed at 26 locations across the Parrachivara panchayat.

The panchayat comprises seven coastal hamlets. Of the 26 lighting points, as many as 10 points have self-timer facility and run with the solar energy.

Meanwhile, the villagers on Sunday brought the poor electricity facility to the notice of the Deputy Speaker.

“The validity of the solar lighting system installed here is nearly 30 years and the villagers are allowed to contact the BEPL for any need of repair and maintenance,” said BEPL Managing Director Mr. Raghavendra. He also promised necessary support to create rural infrastructure in the village through Corporate Social Responsibility in future.
