Several trains cancelled, diverted

A number of trains have been cancelled as the extremely severe cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ is expected to cross the Odisha coast between Goplapur and Chandbali, around Puri, on May 3 (Friday).

The trains that have been cancelled on Wednesday (May 1) are: Silchar – Tiruvananthapuram Central Express (12508) leaving Silchar on May 1; Gandhidham - Puri Express (22973) leaving Gandhidham on May 1; and Yesvantpur – Muzaffarpur Express (15227) leaving Yesvantpur on May 1.

The following trains leaving the originating station on May 2 have been cancelled: Howrah - Hyderabad Express (18645); Howrah - Chennai Express (12841), Santragachi – Manglore Central Express (22851 ); Howrah – Tiruchchirappalli Jn. Express (12663); Howrah – Yesvantpur Express (12863); Howrah – Chennai Express (12839); Patna Jn. – Ernakulam Jn. Express (22644); Santragachi – Chennai Express (06057); Guwahati – Secundeabad Express (12514 ); Chennai - Santragachi Express (22808); Yesvantpur - Muzaffarpur Express (15227); Hyderabad - Howrah Express (18646); Yesvantpur - Howrah Express (12246); Secunderabad - Howrah Express (12704); Chennai - Haldia Express (22613 ); Yesvantpur - Howrah Express (22888 ); Chennai - Shalimar Express (22826); Vasco-da-Gama - Howrah Express (18048); Tambaram - Dibrugarh Express (15929); Pune - Bhubaneswar Express (22881); Chennai - Howrah Express (12840); KSR Bengaluru City - Bhubaneswar Express (18464); Yesvantpur - Howrah Express (12864); Mumbai CSTM - Bhubaneswar Express (11019); Tiruvananthapuram Central - Shalimar Express (22641); Chennai - Howrah Express (12842); Tirupati - Puri Express (17480); Secunderabad - Bhubaneswar Express (17016); Silchar - Tiruvananthapuram Central Express (12508); and Howrah – Vasco-Da-Gama Express (18047).

The following trains leaving the originating station on May 3 have been cancelled:

Bhubaneswar – KSR Bengaluru City Express (18463); Bhubaneswar – Visakhapatnam Express (22819); Bhubaneswar – Secunderabad Express (17015); Howrah – Secunderabad Express (12703); Howrah – Yesvantpur Express (12245); Kharagpur Jn. – Villupuram Jn. Express (22603); Howrah - Hyderabad Express (18645); Howrah - Chennai Express (12841); Howrah - Mysuru Express (22817 ); Santragachi - Chennai Express (22807); Puri - Yesvantpur Express (22883); Bhubaneswar - Rameswaram Express (18496), Puri - Tirupati Express (17479), Bhubaneswar – Mumbai CSTM Express (11020); Puri - Ahmedabad Express (12843); Chennai -Howrah Express (12842); Gunupur - Rourkela Express (18118); Visakhapatnam - Bhubaneswar Express (22820); Secunderabad - Shalimar Express (22850); and Hyderabad – Howrah Express (18646).

Alternative routes

The following trains will run on diverted routes: KSR Bengaluru City - Guwahati Express (12509), leaving KSR Bengaluru City on May 2, will run via Vizianagaram – Titlagarh – Jharsuguda and Visakhapatnam - Amritsar Express (18507), leaving Visakhapatnam on May 3, will run via Vizianagaram – Titlagarh – Sambalpur, according to Divisional Commercial Manager of Waltair Division Ashok Rao.
