Senior leaders find place in TDP panel

October 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - GUNTUR:

Senior TDP leaders from the district found place in the State and central committees of the party which were announced on Wednesday. However, several aspiring members were left disappointed. Dokka Manikya Prasad, nominated as the party’s official spokesperson, is the only new face from the district. Mr. Prasad joined the party recently at the behest of his mentor Rayapati Sambasiva Rao.

Senior leader J.R. Pushpa Raj was nominated as vice-president, while Mannam Subba Rao, Dasari Raja Master and Chandu Sambasiva Rao were made State organising secretaries of the party.

The party gave a fair share to Kapu and SC communities by nominating Raja Master and Dr. Sambasiva Rao and Mr. Manikya Vara Prasad and Mr. Pushparaj, but the omission of members of the Muslim community is likely to cause heartburn.
