RTC bus accident toll rises to 16

The toll in the accident of an RTC bus near Penukonda a few days ago has increased to 16 , with the driver, Gangappa, succumbing to injuries at a hospital in Bengaluru

on Monday.

Gangappa sustained severe injuries on his head, leading to haemorrhage and loss of consciousness. He was the first among the victims to be shifted to the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru.
