Rotolok Valves Private Limited (RVPL), a subsidiary company of UK-based Rotolok Holdings Ltd., commenced operations of its first ever production unit in India, at the integrated business township - Sri City, according to a press release from the company.

Rotolok Holdings Group Managing Director Sean Swales, accompanied by UK Trade and Investment Senior Advisor Sujith Thomas and other senior executives, declared the opening of the manufacturing plant.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Swales said that the inauguration of the facility at Sri City would mark a new chapter in Rotolok’s history. “The investment made at this site in machinery, equipment and people will allow the British design and quality standards to be combined with competitive Indian manufacturing costs to produce rotary valves and other bulk handling equipment,” he added.

The facility, built on a two-acre plot adjacent to Alstom, is equipped with the latest CNC machinery. It will produce powder and bulk material handling products such as rotary airlocks, diverter valves, slide valves, big bag systems, conveyors and discharge units. This highly automated unit employs around 30 persons.

RVPL General Manager Prasanna Veeraraghavan, Sri City Managing Director Ravindra Sannareddy and others took part in the event.
