Congress activists made a bonfire with tyres and firewood in front of the locked District Congress Committee office here on Sunday demanding an apology from APCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy for the denial of entry to former Union Minister of State for Railways Kotla Jayasuryaprakash Reddy to AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting at Bandlapalle in Anantapur district recently.

Meanwhile, the Kurnool DCC office continued to be under lock and key for the sixth consecutive day after Mr. Jayasuryaprakash Reddy’s followers locked it up on February 2. Indian National Trade Union Congress leaders Ramana and Narayana and party women activists raised slogans against PCC president N. Raghuveera Reddy and the Congress leadership.
