Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA and former Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav alleged that the Backward Classes (BCs) and the Yadav community failed to get their due share in the political arena in Andhra Pradesh. He also reiterated TRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s comment that ‘a return gift’ would be given to A.P. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu
Mr. Srinivas visited the Kanaka Durga temple here on Monday, and also addressed a Yadav community meeting at Kethanakonda near here.
The MLA said that the Telugu Desam Party was using the Backward Classes as pawns.
The BCs have no recognition in A.P. despite the State government promising the moon. There was no strong leader for the BCs in the State. “I am ready to lead not just Yadavs in A.P. but all the BCs,” he said.
The Yadavs were given top priority in Telangana. They got adequate representation in legislatures. The Yadavs would not develop politically if they did not come out of the closet. “I will strive for the development of Yadavs in A.P, he added.
‘Tall claims’
Building Cyberabad alone would not amount to developing entire Hyderabad. Mr. Naidu was making tall claims of development in combined A.P. and more particularly Hyderabad, which has a history of 450 years.
The State government was deceiving the people with rich graphics on Capital city Amaravati. The TDP leaders campaigned that Mr. Naidu should be voted to power for employment generation. How many jobs have been created in A.P. since the TDP came to power in 2014, he asked. In contrast, as many as 47,000 posts were filled in Telangana.
Meanwhile, TDP executive secretary Bonaboyina Srinivas Yadav said that the TRS MLA was sent to help YSR Congress president Y. S. Jagan mohan Reddy. He also found fault with the TRS MLA for his remarks on the State government, which allotted ₹40,000 crore for the BC Sub Plan. In comparison, the Telangana government allotted mere ₹20,000 crore for BCs, he added.
