Inspector General of Police, Guntur, Vineet Brijlal, has said prior permission should be obtained from the police before using drones.

Mr. Brijlal, in a press release, said it was illegal for anyone to use drones without permission of the Sub Divisional Police Officer. The IGP also asked people to cooperate with the agencies involved in the massive relief and rehabilitation works in the wake of floods.

Mr. Brijlal said the flood situation was unprecedented, and the police personnel of all ranks and divisions were being deployed in the evacuation of people from the low-lying areas.
