Jana Sena Party chief K. Pawan Kalyan fell ill reportedly due to sunstroke upon arriving at the Vijayawada Airport in Gannavaram on Friday evening. He was returning after campaigning in Vizianagaram.

He was rushed to the tele-medicine clinic of Ramesh Hospitals on the airport premises and was given first aid for dehydration by P. Ramesh, MD of the hospital chain, who was also present at the airport at that time.

He was later suggested to visit Aayush Hospital in the city, where he underwent treatment for dehydration.

In a video released by the JSP, Mr. Pawan was seen with cannula on his hand through which saline was administered. Later, he walked out of the hospital and left for home in the city.

Party representatives said he recovered after treatment and that his health condition was stable.

Due to the unexpected health issue, Mr. Pawan had to cancel his election campaign in Sattenapalli and Tenali of Guntur district.

He is expected to resume campaigning from Saturday.
