Errors in question papers seem to be the order of the day. After discrepancies were found in the SSLC, II Pre-University exam and the Common Entrance Test question papers, and grace marks were showered upon students, now aspiring teachers have come face to face with the same problem. Teachers allege that not only were there mistakes but some questions were out of syllabus in the Common Entrance Test (CET) for the appointment of 9,511 primary teachers to government schools.
The CET exam — divided into two segments — for lower primary teachers and higher primary teachers, was held on May 23 and 24. Meanwhile, Minister of State for Primary and Secondary Education Kimmane Ratnakar acknowledged that the errors were brought to his notice and he has directed the department officials to investigate.
