Not a memorable birthday for Allu Arjun

April 13, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST

Not exactly a dream birthday for stylish star Allu Arjun. The young star, who turned a year older on April 8, had an unpleasant experience in the run-up to his birthday with none other than the media. Quite used to the starry tantrums, the media folks this time around put their foot down and boycotted the scheduled interaction with the actor after the latter did not turn up even after two hours.

On the other hand, he was looking forward to his big-ticket release S/O Satyamurthy directed by Trivikram. The movie, released on Thursday, received lukewarm response from the public. Some of the viewers took to the social media to express their disappointment with the movie too. The star does have something to smile about. After debuting on Twitter, Allu Arjun’s follower count has swelled to more than 45,000 in just two days.

And now the son of a music director!

After the sons of established actors/heroes and wards of directors, it’s the turn of the son of a popular music director to don the greasepaint and showcase his skills, looking to attract spotlight as a hero.

Rajv Saluru, son of music director Koti and grandson of musician Saluru Rajeswara Rao, makes his debut with Ori Devudoy directed by Sriram Vegaraju.

Cast opposite the strapping young lad are relative new faces - yes, there are two heroines - Madhirakshi and Mounica, possibly romancing him! Sure the director and producer are excited and believe their product that is all set to hit the screens on April 16 will go down well with the audience.

As for the story, it’s a socio-fantasy with oodles of entertainment and revolves around how a youngster can achieve his dream and do his bit in society if he works hard enough. Wonder where it leaves the two heroines! Are they in the film just for the glam quotient?
