New TTD EO on ‘inspection’ drive

Devotees urged not to fall prey to touts

TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal on Monday inspected various places in Tirumala.

Mr. Singhal visited both the Vaikuntham queue complexes and supervised the movement of pilgrims in the darshan lines.

He also inspected the Divya darshanam and ₹ 300 special entry darshan counters and interacted with pilgrims.

He appealed to them not to fall prey to touts.

He felt the need to imparting proper training to Srivari Seva volunteers in better handling of crowds and applying of 'Namam' (insignia) on the foreheads of the devout as is the practice.

He also visited the kitchen at the Vaikuntham complex where the food for distribution among of the devotees is cooked and served.

He interacted with the engineering officials and acquainted himself with regard to the yet-to-be built new multi-purpose complex, the cost factor and facilities proposed.

He visited the TTD-run SV Vedapathasala and held discussions with the senior pontiff of the TTD at his Mutt.
