Neetu Agarwal complains of threat to life

May 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:00 am IST - KURNOOL:

Actress Neetu Agarwal, who is an accused in the red sanders smuggling case along with her husband and kingpin in the racket, Masthan Vali, has urged the government to provide her security, as she faced a “threat” to her life.

Ms. Agarwal told the media at the Rudravaram police station on Sunday that she had no idea that her husband Masthan Vali was involved in the smuggling of red sanders. “I gave my [bank] account number to my husband and let him use it. I had no idea what he did with that [account],” she said, blaming bad fortunes for her fate.

“I have a threat to my life. If anything [untoward] happens to me, the responsibility rests with Masthan Vali. The government should provide me security as I have a threat,” Neetu said.

Last week, she was allegedly attacked by a person who said he was merely trying to get the money Neetu owed to him.
