National softball tourney from June 3

936 youngsters to take part

With an estimated participation of 936 youngsters from across 27 States, the Chittoor district administration officials are leaving no stone unturned in the smooth conduct of ‘Junior National Softball Championship’, scheduled to be held between June 3 and June 7, in the temple city of Tirupati.

Joint Collector II V.R. Chandramouli, accompanied by other officials and committee members, reviewed the arrangements such as transportation, accommodation and public address system.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Mr. Chandramouli said they would put the players and the coaches up in the hostels of Sri Venkateswara Arts College, Sri Padmavati Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam (SPMVV) etc., with support from the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
