Chief Minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu is likely to visit Delhi on February 1 to meet non-BJP leaders. His visit coincides with the presentation of the Budget .

There are reports that the NDA government may present a full Budget and not an interim one. The TDP leaders contend that it is unconstitutional to do so in an election year.

Bandh called

Secondly, the Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samithi (Struggle Committee for achieving SCS) has called for a bandh on February 1 to press for the demand. Though the TDP hasn’t announced any support so far, Mr. Naidu at the Collectors’ conference asked the officials to chalk out plans to resolve the grievances received at Janmabhoomi from February 2.

The SCS is one of the reasons the TDP cited for pulling out of the NDA. Mr. Naidu “might react” on these issues in New Delhi, source say.

Mr. Naidu is slated to meet the leaders of the political parties which took part in the United India rally organised by the Trinamool Congress in Kolkata. He conveyed the same to them already.

Discussing on the proposed meetings in Bengaluru and Delhi and finalising the name for the non-BJP front are on his agenda. Mr. Naidu is of the view that the “final and last public meeting” of the non-BJP parties should be convened in Amaravati. “It is a bit sentimental issue.”

The TDP leaders recall that a similar exercise was done during TDP founder N. T. Rama Rao period which ultimately led to the formation of the National Front in 1989. So, Mr. Naidu would discuss the proposed Amaravati meeting, sources say.

He may also discuss the tampering of the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in the wake of an event in London to demonstrate it. He also has plans to meet President Ram Nath Kovind in this regard.
