June 12, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:45 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the 12-day Godavari Maha Pushkaram beginning on July 14 should become etched in the minds of people. The 12-day mega event will feature performances by artistes Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna and Kuchibhotla Anand. Another important aspect is the Pushkara Jyothi marathon covering 300 km spread over 21 mandals for five days in which local and national sports personalities would take part. The event would feature sports competitions involving 60,000 students, and they will be presented a memento with the Pushkara logo.

Mr. Naidu, who held a review meeting on the Pushkarams, said the event should infuse new vigour into people, directing it towards development of the State.
