Man found dead in sugarcane field

Akula Venkateswara Rao, 32, a mason, found dead in a sugarcane field at K. Kothapalem village under Avanigadda police station limits in Krishna district on Monday.

According to the police, Venkateswara Rao reportedly hanged himself. He had migrated to the Krishna district from Repalle area in Guntur district two years. The police visited the spot after being informed by locals. The police said Venkateswara Rao had two children and family problems reportedly forced him to take the drastic step. The body was shifted to the Avanigadda area hospital. A case was registered and investigation is on. Those who are in distress can contact the police helpline No. 100.
