Students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh, are organising a week-day Mahatma Art Festival-2018 on the institute premises, to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation. The exhibition will be held up to November 17, said NIT Director Prof. C.S.P. Rao.
Students of different streams displayed projects, to recall the life of Gandhiji and his principles, in the exhibition, said the Director, who visited the exhibits on Tuesday. In-charge Registrar G. Amba Prasad Rao inaugurated the art gallery.
Thirty-five projects, including some paintings and handicrafts, were exhibited at the festival by the students of Painting and Photography Club of the institution, said professors G. Radhakrishnamacharya and Prof. Nageswara Rao, Dean Academic Affairs.
