A private marketing manager was crushed to death under the wheels of a speeding truck at Jubilee Hills on Monday afternoon. P. Padmapriya (33) of APIIC Colony in Jeedimetla was taking a turn near the Foot-over-Bridge (FoB) at Jubilee Hills when the ‘killer' vehicle came from behind and hit her two-wheeler resulting in grievous injuries.
Death was instant for Padmapriya, police said.
Missing boy traced
A 14-year-old boy, who went missing from his house a few days ago, was re-united with his family on Monday. S. Abhinav, a ninth-standard student and native of Prakasam district, came to Secunderabad railway station in Shirdi Express from Vijayawada. The railway police traced him and handed him over to his relative Srinivas.
Woman arrested
The railway police on Monday arrested a woman from East Godavari district on charges of stealing suitcases from passengers in Gautami Express by travelling as a passenger from Rajahmundry to Secunderabad. Police recovered gold and cash amounting to Rs.1 lakh from her.
Businessman held
A businessman was arrested by the city police on Monday for possessing fake tiger's skin. The arrested has been identified as Mahadev Singh (25) of Dhoolpet. He was cheating gullible people by trying to sell fake tiger's skin saying that it was genuine.
