July 20, 2015 12:00 am | Updated November 17, 2021 02:03 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Linkage with Aadhaar number and e-Pass will be made compulsory from August 1 to enable farmers to avail benefits from the government, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said on Sunday.

Mr. Naidu, who held a review meeting on the Primary Sector in Rajahmundry on Sunday, asked officials to link fertilizer shops with Aadhaar and e-Pass so that the quantity of urea used by each farmer would be known.

Pointing out that there was no shortage of irrigation water supply in East and West Godavari districts, the CM sought to know the reasons for the failure to meet the target for paddy transplantation and asked officials to ensure 100 per cent transplantion.

Mr. Naidu said the Pattiseema Lift Irrigation project would be completed in record time.
