KWD farmers being ignored: YSRC

October 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:49 am IST - GUNTUR:

YSR Congress official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu on Tuesday accused Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of turning a blind eye to the plight of farmers in the Krishna Western Delta (KWD).

Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Rambabu ridiculed Mr. Naidu’s contention that he would bring 80 tmc of water from Pattiseema.

“Had the Chief Minister spent Rs.100 crore on Pulichintala project, standing crop in the Krishna Western Delta could have been saved. He has been viewing the Pulichintala project with suspicion. The project has been designed to store 45 tmcft of water,” Mr. Rambabu said.
