J.C. Pavan files papers for Anantapur LS seat

In a massive show of strength, the TDP candidate for Anantapur Lok Sabha constituency J.C. Pavan Reddy went in a rally to file his nomination papers on Wednesday. Party candidates seeking election to the Assembly Kalava Srinivasulu (Rayadurg), who is also I&PR Minister, J.C. Asmith Reddy (Tadipatri) and Bandaru Sravani (Singanamala), and sitting MP J.C. Diwakar Reddy accompanied Mr. Pavan.

TDP candidates from other Assembly segments forming part of the Lok Sabha constituency were conspicuous by their absence.

Mr. Pavan’s was the first and only nomination filed for the LS seat. Hindupur constituency did not receive any nominations so far.

For the 14 Assembly constituencies, nominations were received only for seven of them. Of the 17 nominations received so far, eight were filed on Wednesday.

No nomination was received for the remaining seven Assembly and one parliamentary constituencies.

Anantha begins campaign

Meanwhile, YSRCP’s Anantapur Assembly constituency candidate and former MP Anantha Venkatarami Reddy formally launched his campaign in the city after his name was announced. He was already visiting the localities in the constituency as part of the party’s ‘Ravali Jagan - Kavali Jagan’ campaign.
