Jayaprakash Reddy enthrals audience

The actor's father worked as Additional SP in Nalgonda district

Well-known stage and film actor T.V. Jayaprakash Reddy here on Sunday night enthralled the audience during his performance in social drama, Alexander, utilising a helpline to solve the problems of people.

He donned the role of an army major in the play spread over two hours, in the process interacting with fellow actors over the phone.

The actors included Kota Srinivas Rao, Allari Naresh, Raghubabu, Bharat, Kondavalasa, Raavi Kondal Rao, Bommali Ravi, Saikumar, Telangana Shakuntala, Radhakumari and anchors Sana, Suma and Jhansi. Their conversations led to hilarious moments.

Among the audience were district Collector N. Mukteswara Rao, writer Poosala, eminent educationist Chinna Venkat Reddy, Pulijala Rammohan Rao, M. Narender Reddy, A. Bhaskar, Shailaja, P. Anjaiah, DRDA Project Director Rajeshwar Reddy and RDO Padmakar.

The Collector praised Jayaprakash Reddy as a complete actor, who could do justice to any role.

N. Mukteswara Rao lit the traditional lamp and garlanded the portrait of Mr. Sambi Reddy, the actor's father, who worked as Additional SP in Nalgonda district.

The play was staged in connection with Sambi Reddy's birthday.

The district Collector felicitated the Nandi award-winners from the district - P. Raghupati, Purshothamacharya, K. Ramachander Rao, S.C. Dasu and Bhujanga Rao.
